What type of information do I collect?

 

I receive, collect and store any information you enter on the website or provide me in any other way. For example, if you purchase an item, I would have your name and address to send your item to you and I would store that with details of your order in case there are any delivery issues or you are in any way unhappy with the item.  In addition, The shop program collects the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; login; e-mail address; password; computer and connection information and purchase history so that you can sign in and monitor your orders and deliveries. 

I may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page.  To see which pages are most popular or if there is an issue with a page not being found or loading too slowly.  

We also collect personally identifiable information (including name, email, password, communications), payment details (I strongly prefer using PayPal for payments so that I never have access to any financial or card information), comments, feedback, product reviews, recommendations, and personal profile.

How do I collect information?

 

When you conduct a transaction on our website, as part of the process, I collect the personal information you give me such as your name, address and email address. Your personal information will be used for the specific reasons stated below only. (Practically, it’s only for shipping purposes and customer services to resolve any issues, returns and refunds etc!)

Why do I collect such personal information?

 

I collect such Non-personal and Personal Information for the following purposes:

• To provide and operate the Services;

• To provide my Users with ongoing customer assistance and technical support;

• To be able to contact our Visitors and Users with general or personalised service-related notices;

• To create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred Non-personal Information, which I may use to provide and improve my products and services; (To see things like what time of day do I have most people looking at my website so that I know what time of day would be best to have live chat services open or expect more emails etc.)

• To comply with any applicable laws and regulations. (I have to keep up with all the laws from all over the world!)

How do I store, use, share and disclose site visitors' personal information?

 

I NEVER SHARE OR DISCLOSE PERSONAL INFORMATION.

My company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.  

All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers. (Again, I want to plug PayPal here for payment security!)

How do I communicate with site visitors?

 

I may contact you to notify you regarding your account, to troubleshoot problems with your account, to resolve a dispute, to collect fees or monies owed.  With your permission, to poll your opinions through surveys or questionnaires, to send updates about the company, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce my User Agreement, applicable national laws, and any agreement I may have with you. For these purposes I may contact you via email, telephone, text messages, and postal mail.

How do I use cookies and other tracking tools?

 

I collect and use cookies that give me information about my website not specifically, individual customers or any personal information.

• I like to look at the highest number of clicks from a specific time zone so that I know the best times to be focusing on customer services, releasing new products and doing site maintenance without causing disruption.

• I like to see which of my pages and products get the most clicks so that I can offer more of that.

• I like to see which of my pages and products are never clicked on so that I can clear them out and focus on something better.

• I like to make sure that I am offering adequate languages and currencies on the site.

• I can see the average amount of time users spend on a page so I can tell if they read the articles or just skim over them, so I know if I need to improve my topics or writing style.

• I spent weeks and weeks building a stunning, gorgeous looking website on my laptop, I absolutely loved it… it turns out 46% of people looked at it on a mobile phone where the design didn’t work out well at all! Back to the drawing board!!

How can you withdraw your consent?

 

If you don’t want me to process or store your personal data anymore, please contact me at susan@susanhansondesigns.com  (Just a heads up - This could mean if you later contacted me regarding a customer service issue it may take me longer or even not be possible to assist you with all of the information gone, this hasn’t happened yet but in the interest of transparency I have to declare it as a possibility)

Laws and moral responsibilities are constantly changing so I need to reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website.
